Last spring we were contacted by HGTV magazine, they wanted to feature our kitchen, I was so excited but I new we had renovation plans so I wasn't sure they would want to go ahead with it but apparently they liked the tiles we were going to remove and requested to shoot the feature before the remodel, of course we happily agreed! the photos were taken last April, we have since removed the tiles, they look great in the photos and I'm almost sorry we did that but in reality the tiles were old, grimy, and many broken beyond repair, in short they had to go! we also swapped the old sink for a new Ikea farmhouse
sink which we love!! we have a new stainless steel backsplash and
range hood, we refinished and sealed the wooden counter tops with the amazing
Waterlox sealer, its ton of work but so worth it, and finally we just swapped the main wooden work surface in the kitchen with a beautiful piece of local Vermont marble.
